INTERNATIONAL MEDIA COVERAGE FOR HARBOUR INSTRUCTION

The following article appears in "PRoperty" the Revolution Public Relations newsletter.

At the end of 2009 Revolution Public Relation's client Chesterton Humberts was instructed to sell Bembridge Harbour on the Isle of Wight.

Bembridge is a tidal harbour with marina and mooring facilities for 600 boats. Originally serving the island’s railway and operated by British Rail, Bembridge Harbour came into private ownership in 1968 and now provides unrivalled fa-cilities for yachtsmen and tourists.

Simon Gardiner, of Chesterton Humberts’ specialist marine property team, com-mented: “It’s not often an entire Solent harbour comes for sale and interest was received from existing and new marine operators wishing to gain or extend their foothold in the high value south coast yachting market.”

Revolution Public Relations arranged a media campaign targeted at key publica-tions with press visits and interviews, resulting in a full page of coverage in The Times and subsequent coverage on the BBC.

Further coverage was obtained for the sale of Bembridge Harbour with the international distribution of the news release by Revolution PR, with the story being indexed by Google News – resulting in website visits from around the globe.
