BOBBY'S FOODS ACQUIRES DISTRIBUTION SITE AT VIKING PARK, BORDON

Viking Property Holdings, advised by Wadham & Isherwood Farnham, has sold a development plot at Viking Park, the 12-acre (4.86-hectare) business, retail and leisure development in Bordon, to Bobby's Food plc of Bromsgrove.

Bobby's Foods, which distributes a variety of snack foods, confectionery and cakes to retailers throughout the UK, has acquired the site to develop a new distribution property of around 6,000 Sq Ft (557 Sq M) - bringing new employment opportunities to the area.

Clive Baker of Bobby's Foods comments: "Bordon's location close to the A3, A31 and the motorway network makes it a great location for a distribution operation and the new facility will allow us to provide our customers across the region with a highly efficient service."

As part of the transaction, Viking Property Holdings will complete the site's infrastructure, allowing further development at the scheme by making other fully serviced sites available with immediate effect. The completion of these infrastructure works is expected this Autumn.

The transaction with Bobby's Foods follows the earlier sale to Marstons Inns & Taverns Brewery of the public house fronting the Petersfield Road (A325).
